Okay, so at the beginning of this week I started to make a list of the recipes I really want to try this month (as opposed to the recipes I come across that I bookmark to try sometime in the future). These recipes include:
Gluten Free Crusty Boule by Artisan Bread in Five
Vegan White Chili by Sound Eats
GF Banana Blueberry Muffins as posted by Prevention RD
and then the one I just came across today: Almond Butter Blondies, mentioned by Allie (LiveLaughEat), recipe by Elana
Well, I was already doing some baking today for my friend’s birthday tonight. I made a loaf of no-knead bread as well as some french bread – both came out great, and then I also made the gf crusty boule (it’s in the oven right now) as well as the almond butter blondies. My logic was that I could certainly take more food to the party as long as it fit the wine theme 🙂 Even better, we now have one of our other friends “bringing” the blondies so I’m not bringing quite as much food.
I was in baking heaven and I’m thrilled with how well everything came out. I guess I don’t know for sure about the gf bread, but I’m excited to be bringing gf treats to munch on. My true excitement came from watching the almond butter blondies bake – I wish I had taken photos. It was amazing to see that a flour free recipe could result in so much loft and rise so much so quickly. I can’t wait to try them! Thanks Allie for such an awesomely timed mention of an easy gf dessert.
I can’t wait to you try the chili! Be sure to let me know what you think! 🙂
Also – I love this idea! I almost want to create a separate tab on my blog of all the recipes out there I want to try!
I’m glad you liked them. I’ve enjoyed them all week — they are so big and satisfying! Mm!
That vegan white chili looks great, I’m adding that to MY must make list!
I should keep track of all the recipes I want to try much better!
Those blondies sound like heaven!
