I woke up to the sound of rain on the skylight. Once I figured out that it’s Saturday, I snuggled down in bed and decided to enjoy the rain. I have my cat curled up next to me, the sound of rain, and the knowledge that I don’t have to get out of bed right away – What more could a girl want?
Some of the things I’ve tried this week…
First off I tried Greek Gods honey yogurt – it seriously tastes similar to cream cheese frosting like you’d find on carrot cake. Much too rich to eat all of at once, but a delightful treat to have a spoonful or two. I can also see having a small amount with some fruit. Not a daily eats by any means, but it was delicious for a special treat.
Next up, I found a new salsa that’s made even closet to me so I tried that out. Mother Earth’s salsa has nice fresh chunks, and then a surprising addition – fresh ground pepper!
I’ve never had (or noticed) pepper in salsa before, but this was a great addition. Seriously, the next time you make your own salsa – try adding some pepper to see how that changes things. It adds a little kick – not in terms of spice, but just in terms of saying hello to your taste buds. It’s unique and interesting.
My salsa streak continued last night as I got a combo of salsas on my eats at Qdoba. I of course got the pico, but then decided to also get the corn salsa. As I enjoyed bowl with corn salsa, and watched my husband eat a quesadilla I had a revelation – I should add corn salsa the next time I make quesadillas – that would be delicious!
I’m definitely having a bit of a salsa kick… salsa kick – hehehe , zumba in 3 hours! Hmm, should I zumba in the rain on my way to class? The interesting ideas my brain comes up with 😉
I looove salsa!! Not the dancing knid (because I can’t dance at all), but the eating kind. I could eat it everyday and never get sick of it!
I love both salsas though I’m probably a better salsa eater than salsa dancer 🙂
Me too!
